AVAL \ POHA \ BEATEN RICE CUTLET




INGREDIENTS
Poha/ aval  - 2 cups
Chilli pwd – 1 tsp
Coriander leaves – ¼ cup (chopped)
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Onion – 1 (finely chopped)(optional)
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Salt – to taste
Oil – to fry

PROCEDURE

Take poha/ aval in a large bowl.

Soak aval In water for 5 mins. Now drain the water thoroughly and squeeze between your palms for excess water.
Now add chilli powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, onion and salt.
 Mix well with hands and make small size balls and roll into your desired shape.or cut using a cookie cutter as I did.
Heat a shallow pan and shallow fry the cutlets in medium heat on both sides till they turn golden brown.
Serve hot with tomato ketchup as a tea time snack on a rainy day and enjoy.


Tips
You can use 2 or 3 slices of bread for taste and shape or if your dough is little sticky.
For better results refrigerate for atleast half an hour before you fry the cutlets.
